About
The Full Story
Born on November 23rd, 1999, Tehran, Iran; He started taking classical guitar lessons at the age of 10. Played the classical guitar for 3 years before going to the Tehran Conservatory of Music where he switched instruments to the clarinet. After studying there for five years, he got his diploma in clarinet performance. During the last two years of his studies at the Conservatory, he started playing the Bass Clarinet and could not get enough of this instrument! He was able to purchase a student low Eb Bass Clarinet which marked his musical journey. He gathered three of his clarinetist friends and formed the first clarinet quartet in Tehran Conservatory of Music. Since Bass Clarinet was a rare instrument in Iran, forming a proper clarinet quartet was a new thing for everyone and it got lots of attention and good feedback. He found/arranged most of the music that was performed with this quartet. At the same time, he started playing the 2nd/Bass Clarinet of Iran youth Orchestra, Resaneh Honar Symphony Orchestra and some other smaller groups.
In 2018, when he immigrated to Montreal, Canada; he stopped playing the clarinet for almost four years just to explore other things since immigration was a new beginning for him. During those 4 years, he started working with new local artists as a music producer and learned a lot about digital audio recording/processing, mixing and mastering and modern music.
When he felt that he’s ready to get back on his musical journey as a clarinetist, he got a second hand B10 Buffet Bb clarinet off Facebook marketplace and started practicing the clarinet again to Audition for McGill Schulich School of Music’s clarinet performance program.
When he started school again, there was something missing from his journey, and it was a Bass Clarinet. He borrowed one from the university which he couldn’t use much because it would only be used for concerts and rehearsals that were part of the program and would happen four times a year.
He was looking to purchase a Bass Clarinet but due to their high prices he could not get one. Until he got a scholarship from the university which was still not enough to buy a Bass Clarinet with, so he thought of getting an A clarinet until he came across Royal Global Clarinets which was a very joyful discovery. He got a Royal Global Max Bass Clarinet which was another significant point in his journey. Bass Clarinet has been a big part of his life and getting one opened lots of new doors and opportunities for him. He currently plays a Royal Global Max Bass Clarinet.
